How to Change a Headlight Bulb on a 2014 Nissan Versa. Also works for 2008 Nissan Versa Hatchback
Purchase the Correct Bulb:
Purchasing a headlight bulb at an auto parts store. When buying a new bulb, be sure to choose the correct one. If you need help, tell the employee at the auto parts store, what kind of vehicle you have and they should be able to help you make the right choice. The bulb we will be using is a dual high beam/low beam.
Step 1:
When you look under the hood, behind your headlight you will see a rubber circle with a plug coming out of it.
The plug (shown in the picture) needs to be unplugged. To avoid damaging the bulb or the plug, pull the plug out straight.
Step 2:
Remove the circular rubber cover. This will expose the bulb.
Step 3:
There is a metal bracket around the bulb, holding it in place. Push and slide the bracket to the side to release the bulb.
Step 4:
Now that you have the bracket off, remove the bulb.
Step 5:
Replace the bulb.
Be sure not to touch the new bulb directly. The oils from your hands can burn out the bulb. Use gloves or hold only onto the metal rim.
Now that you have removed the old bulb, reverse the procedure to install the new one.
