It sucks not having heat in your car during the Winter. Even more-so when your heat works one day, then just decides to give up the next day. While there are not many instant fixes to warm it up, you may want to contact your mechanic and get your vehicle repaired as soon as possible! Here are some possible causes:
Blower Motor Failing
Usually accompanied by squealing or screaming from the passenger side of the dash.
Tip: Smack the underneath of the dash on the passenger side. This may trigger the blower motor to give one more try and buy you a little more heat and time.
Low Coolant
Heat setting is not hot; is usually slightly warm to cold.
Sometimes accompanied with overheating.
Tip: Check your coolant level and add if needed (WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT HOT! Coolant WILL BURN you.)
Door/Sensor Inside Dash
Heat works only on one side (i.e: driver side or passenger side)
Heat only works on one setting (i.e: defrost, floor, vents)
