Updated: Dec 27, 2020

It's almost that time again, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Happy New Year!

WAIT! Did you make your new year's resolutions? Eat healthier, play a sport, kick a bad habit, spend less time on electronics, save money.... but how about for your vehicle?

Many people make new year's resolutions for themselves every year, but did you know you can make them for your car too? Your car is just like you, it needs things like fluids and check ups to stay running great and sometimes it needs new parts when the original ones break or fall apart. If you've never made resolutions for your car, let this year be the first of many!

Here's a few ideas to add to your car's new years resolutions:

Schedule Regular Oil Changes

Having scheduled maintenance is a must! This year make sure you show your car a little bit of love and schedule in your oil changes ahead of time! That way you will get the day and time that works for you! Plus, you will be more inclined to keep an already scheduled appointment.

Know How to Change a Flat Tire

Most people go through life without every having to change a flat tire. BUT there are those times when you need to know how. If you don't know how to change a flat tire already, it's time to learn how! Check out How To Change a Flat Tire to find out how!

Stay on Top of Checking Your Fluids

This is another part of basic scheduled maintenance. If you don't know how, don't be discouraged! Learn how to check your vehicle's fluids and make a resolution to make a routine and continue checking them.

Know How to Jump Start Your Vehicle

If it's time to make new year's resolutions, there's a very good chance it's cold outside! Most jump starts are done during the colder months, so don't get stuck, make a resolution to learn how to jump start your vehicle!

Rotate Your Tires

Many drivers don't know that they need to rotate their vehicles tires. If you don't know how to do this yourself, schedule an appointment to get this done sometime in the near future. It is recommended to rotate your tires every 15- 30,000 miles.

Now that you have some ideas to add to your vehicle's new years resolution list, what else do you think your car needs?
